Basic RTT Rules: (May Change
Slightly Due To 7th Edition Release)
The general rules for the Rogue Trader Tournament are straightforward.
You must use the same army roster for each round. The latest
edition of the rules must be used. Furthermore, contestants
should know that Rogue Trader Tournaments are for fun, and that
poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated in any way.
1) We will be using the 7th edition rulebook for
the event, as well as all revisions and updates to the appropriate
6th edition Army Books and Supplements. Only published material
is legal. The most current rules must be used, and players must
bring the most current copies of the rules for their army. Rumors
and pre-release info will NOT be permitted for use.
2) Your army must be made up of Citadel, Marauder,
Fanatic or Forge World miniatures. You must use models that
are representative of the race. If you are playing Empire, you
must use Empire models. If you are playing Orcs & Goblins,
you must use Orc & Goblin models, etc. Models must also
be on appropriate base sizes or take up an equal amount of space.
3) What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). If
a model is armed with an item, it must be shown on the figure.
Models for army list choices that are not available must be
converted.
4) Every model must be painted (they must contain
at least 3 colors to count). Just priming them black or white
is not going to cut it.
5) You must conduct yourself in a manner that
will not bring the hobby into disrepute.
6) You must bring all materials needed to play
including: 2 copies of your army roster, dice, measuring device,
templates, models, and any rules that you will be using.
7) You may use Special Characters. However,
no single character may cost more than 25% (500 points) of the
army. This included all magic items, army-specific upgrades
(bloodline powers, runes, etc.) and mounts the character was
riding.
8) Arcane Lore articles, rules clarifications,
and Q&A appearing in White Dwarf are in use.
Army Theme/Composition:
This RTT will include PIL's own set of Composition Guidelines
as follows:
(Composition Points will be deducted if these
Guidelines are not followed, but players will still be allowed
to field their armies)
1) Minimum of 33% spent on Core selections?
2) Does the army contain at least as many Core
selections as Special or Rare or Hero selections?
3) A maximum of 15% spent on wargear?
4) Does this army fit the Warhammer Fantasy background?
If you have any questions regarding the tournament, email Lucas
Kelly or post them on the Convention
Message Board.
