Back in the Freehold of Battice, the Planar Artifact syphoned
power from the Portal Matrix and caused an ever-widening area
in which magical travel was disrupted. The adventures traveled
"home" in search of the cause, only to be greeted
by a force of humans and ogres, led by 2 Giants, as they reached
the border at sunset.
Once the army was defeated and Battice was reclaimed,
the adventurers discovered the strange artifact near the edge
of town, along with information revealing that the army was
hired by a group of Beholders. Using keystones attuned to the
artifact, the Beholders intended to open a gateway to a Plane
where thousands of Beholders waited to cross over and enslave
the Realm.
While searching for the needed keystones to reverse
the process, obelisks capable of driving the Ancient Unseen
back to where they came from were gathered together. Just as
they drove the last Unseen from the Realm, the adventurers were
immediately set upon by the minions of the Beholders while their
masters moved to put their final keystones into place and release
their brethren.
Both sides engaged in a pitched battle, and the
desire to not fight thousands of Beholders or not end up their
slaves proved to be enough motivation for the adventurers to
prevail. The Beholders were defeated, and the final keystones
were used to reverse the magic and banish the Artifact itself
to another Plane.
6/10/1014 Age of Light:

King Aten Kunamen of the Kingdom of Guaresh made the peoples
of the Duchy feel his might as he took the town of Swellhollow
in Servosa and starting mobilizing his army towards the rest
of the Duchy. The Diplomatic Corps starting recruiting in the
area, trying to open channels with the other nations and races
of the area, as well as participating in a trial of Ambassador
Blue Jay of the Kenku Nation.
Along with the new faces came old familiar faces
as Owen once again visited the townsfolk with an interesting
connection to the present conflict
that the Librarian of Gallock was more than happy to enlighten
the adventurers with. With half of the Duchy already plunged
into conflict, many Servosan villagers began evacuating the
smaller towns hoping to find shelter in the Barony of Northgate.
A call from the Baroness to open diplomatic channels with possible
allies looms in the future, as does the ever growing threat
of the newly re-sovreigned nation of Guraesh.
7/1/1014 Age of Light:
TBA (Plot Group 1)
8/26/1014 Age of Light:
Journeying to the Shire of Narfell in search of rumored Dragon
Treasure, the adventurers instead found a hunted rebel Furbin
leader, a missing Noble, and many other problems rampant in
the troubled Shire.
The adventures, with the help of the Narfell
Messengers' Guild, were able to find the rebel Furbin leader
and bring him to justice. This earned the thanks of Lord Kybo,
and also helped prevent hostilities with the Sadira Family of
the Shire of Daggerford once the missing Noble was found. And
although the Dragon treasure turned out to be just a rumor,
other rewards were found through jobs needing done long after
night had fallen in Narfell...
