Victorr Taras of the Royal Taras Family was able to retain possession of the lands surrounding his keep throughout the war with Tomicia and Servosa despite the heavy losses in other parts of the Barony.

His presence during the defense of his lands and skills as a natural leader, along with the noble standing of his family, have made him the natural choice as Lord of the new Shire.

Taras is located to the north of Stormhaven, forming a stretch of the northernmost border of Northgate. The Shire is an area of rolling hills dotted by lush vineyards. Now, during the early stages of the harvest season, skilled teams head to the vineyards at daybreak.

The Luminary Winery, operated by the Taras family for many generations, takes the carefully tended grapes and transforms them into wines. The wine making process begins with the fermentation of grapes and other ingredients in large metal tanks. From here, the liquid is transferred to a combination of native and imported Elven oak barrels to be aged.

After well over a year in production, the famous Taras wines are ready for distribution and sale, so if you are a wine connoisseur, or are looking for an exotic locale to visit close to home, the Shire of Taras may be the place for you.
